If you had two or three children that had a Handicap that was brought on by a genetic disorder such as Autism, Spina Bifida or some other birth defect, would you try to bring another child into the world? What are your feelings on this?

Great Question Jennifer. I would have to say NO, I wouldn't...becasue I would feel that the chance of the newest addition to the family would have a greater chance of having the same disabilities as my other children did. I would also fear that I would be spreading myself to thin as a mother too. Not giving what I need to, to the children that I already had that need extra special care due to their special needs. I think that parents who do this sometimes hope that they are going to have a child without disabilities....my fear would be if that was a the case then a lot of responsibility would fall upon this child as they got older, especially after the parents are gone and they were left to care for their disabled siblings. I see this situation as no win situation any way you look at it.
